Having just returned from the TCA National Convention in Burlington, Vermont it only seems natural to share a few observations with you, my fellow members of WB&A and TCA…

WB&A Plays TRAINS at the National Postal Museum
Make your plans for Saturday June 14 from 1:00 - 4:00 PM to come play trains at the National Postal Museum. Celebrate mail by rail in this annual event! Just in time for Father’s Day, the Postal Museum invites you to toot your own train whistle, sort railway mail, read adventure stories, explore transportation stamps, and enjoy many other family activities. The WB&A Chapter along with other local railroad clubs will showcase their model railways and a representative from the Railway Mail Service Library will share expertise and resources. Other Model railroad displays will include Rappahannock Model Railroad Club of Locust Grove Trains Inc., and Washington, DC Z-Bend Track Group. A day of fun for the whole family.

Roanoke Trip scheduled for August 30—31
Make your plans and reservations now for the August 30—31st, WB&A Chapter outing to Roanoke, VA; we will stay at the beautiful Hotel Roanoke and we will visit the O. Winston Link Museum, the Virginia Museum of Transportation and other attractions as time permits. Roanoke lies between the Blue Ridge and the Allegheny Mountains therefore our bus ride should be a most beautiful drive. …

Altoona Trip was GREAT!
We wish to say THANK YOU to our members who were able to join us on the Altoona Trip; and to those who had other commitments and were not able to be with us in person we know your hearts were with us and we look forward to visiting with you on our next outing.
